The file template has a radius that matches the top radius of the Strand Original. To get the sharpest edge we recommend a 15 degree alternating cutting angle which is marked on the top of the file.<\/p><p>The file is equipped with a set of beveled grooves (1.6 mm). The product mounts in the vice, and with a unique spring-loaded center disc for 20 and 25.4 mm holes, you never need to change the center ring for varying hole sizes. The file is concave and precisely adapted to the blade\u2019s spine radius. It is particularly useful if the blade has been used for cutting stone or feels dull. The concave surface of the file is coated with diamond particles, maintaining sharpness for many years even with daily use. The file\u2019s bevel grooves (1.6 and 1.8 mm wide) are also diamond-coated, minimizing the risk of slipping.
